Instant Powder Dispersion.
Unmatched Flow.
Ultimate Efficiencу.

Designed for Your Industry's

Toughest Challenges

The Prócer HFD is a powerful High Flow Dispersion system engineered for fast, efficient, and continuous mixing of powders and liquids. Designed to handle large volumes with ease, it enables instant dispersion, high-flow transfer, and clump-free mixing-even with challenging ingredients and high-viscosity fluids.

At the heart of the system is a high-speed rotor-stator mechanism that creates intense negative pressure, shear and turbulence, ensuring efficient powder suction, uniform particle breakdown and consistent batch quality. The HFD is ideal for applications in food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, where precision and throughput go hand in hand.

With its robust construction, low energy consumption, and CIP-ready design, the Prócer HFD sets a new benchmark in
high-capacity mixing.

How Prócer HFD

Transforms Your Powder Dispersion Process

Hydration
Ensuring that powder particles are fully wetted by the liquid, overcoming surface tension and promoting rapid, complete contact between powder and liquid to avoid “fish eyes” or floating particles

Deagglomeration
Preventing or breaking up clumps to ensure smooth, lump-free products.

Homogenization
Multiple recirculation or continuous mixing to ensure uniform distribution of powders throughout the batch, critical for product quality and performance.

Particle Size Reduction
Achieving fine and uniform dispersion of powders to enhance product performance, stability, texture, and visual appeal across all industry applications.

Powder Induction
Using vacuum or high-flow systems to suck in powders efficiently, minimizing dust and operator exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Procer HFD and what does it do?

The HFD is Procer’s high-flow powder dispersion system designed for continuous, dust-free induction of dry powders directly into a liquid stream. It eliminates lumping, reduces dust exposure, and fully hydrates powders in a single pass without pre-mixing or manual addition.

The HFD handles a wide range of powders including hydrocolloids (CMC, xanthan gum, guar gum), starches, milk powder, protein isolates, thickeners, stabilisers, and fine chemical powders. It is suitable for any powder that requires fast, lump-free dispersion into a liquid.

A standard high shear mixer adds powder to a tank and then mixes. The HFD uses a venturi-driven induction principle where powder is drawn directly into the high shear zone at the liquid-powder interface, achieving instant wetting and dispersion before any lumps can form. This saves time and significantly reduces waste.

The HFD is used in food manufacturing (soups, sauces, dairy, beverages), pharmaceuticals (suspensions, oral liquids), nutraceuticals, and chemical processing. Any application requiring fast, consistent powder hydration at production scale is a strong fit.

The HFD is a continuous inline system. Liquid is pumped through the unit while powder is inducted simultaneously. There is no batch vessel, making it ideal for high-throughput manufacturing lines where continuous processing is required.

HFD systems are available in multiple configurations to suit different throughput requirements, from small pilot-scale units to full production systems handling several thousand litres per hour. Flow rate depends on the liquid viscosity, powder addition rate, and end-product specification.

No. The HFD is self-contained and can feed directly into a downstream tank, hold vessel, or packaging line. It eliminates the need for a dedicated pre-mix tank and the associated cleaning, labour, and cycle time.

If your current process involves manually adding powder to a tank, fighting lumps, or spending excess time mixing to achieve hydration, the HFD is likely a strong fit. Contact Procer with your powder type, liquid, target concentration, and flow rate and we will assess the fit and size the system.
