Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Procer RevTron and what is it designed for?

RevTron is Procer’s high-shear batch homogeniser designed for emulsification, dispersion, and mixing in open or closed vessels. It uses a rotor-stator head to apply intense shear to the product, producing fine, stable emulsions and uniform dispersions at industrial scale.

The MixPro is a vacuum homogeniser with an integrated vessel, jacket, and vacuum system, ideal for products requiring deaeration during mixing. The RevTron is a standalone batch homogeniser head that mounts on an existing vessel, offering more flexibility for operations with existing tank infrastructure.

RevTron is used to make pharmaceutical ointments, creams, and emulsified suspensions, cosmetic lotions and serums, food emulsions, and chemical dispersions. It is suited for any viscous product requiring fine droplet size and uniform dispersion achieved through intense batch shear.

RevTron is available in multiple sizes to suit vessel volumes ranging from pilot scale to large production batches of several hundred litres. Motor power and rotor-stator head size are selected to match your vessel volume, product viscosity, and required shear intensity.

Yes. RevTron is built with SS316L contact parts, smooth hygienic finishes, and can be configured for CIP compatibility. It meets GMP material and construction standards for pharmaceutical topical and semi-solid product manufacturing.

Yes. RevTron is designed as a mountable batch homogeniser head that can be installed on most standard mixing vessels via a flange connection. This makes it a cost-effective upgrade for operations that already have tank infrastructure but need higher shear capability.

RevTron processes product inside a batch vessel where the rotor-stator head operates within the tank. Nexus is an inline pump that product flows through continuously. RevTron is better for high-viscosity batch products while Nexus is better for continuous processing of lower-viscosity materials at high throughput.

Share your vessel volume, product viscosity, required mixing intensity, and batch cycle time with Procer’s team. We will recommend the right rotor-stator head configuration and motor size. Contact us through the form on this page.
